For those of you wondering if Ikea was green. Read this from the Atlantic Monthly.
The more I read about green, the more I think carbon footprint is sooo important. I admit. I have been to Ikea before. But it's about 45 minutes from my house on the highway. And every time I go there, it's PACKED.
Most of it is complete throw out. The office stuff is not terrible. Nor are some of the kitchen cabinets, especially if used in secondary spaces, like offices or second homes. But a lot of it is just CRAP. Can we really afford to keep throwing stuff out?
What are your experiences and thoughts about Ikea?
