Fish Leather
Does the thought of fish leather gross you out? I cannot decide what I think about it, but I recently read about it so I thought I'd share it. Created in Iceland, by Arndís Jóhannsdóttirand it is said to be strong, pliable, and unique in texture and pattern. It's used most widely for shoes, purses, bowls, and wall coverings, but Jóhannsdóttir has a new application: tiles made from catfish.
Ok I think I decided.I think it grosses me out. I don't really like fish, that must be why.
In case you are interested, one manufacturer is Arndís Jóhannsdóttir and the process is a guarded secret.
